Blog n stuff

Hey Scholars

This week I would like you to talk about your top three values. If you don't know what a "value" is, look it up. Tell you peers what those values are and WHY you feel so strongly about them. Our values define and determine how we react and interact in the world...so be thoughtful.

I NEED YOU TO ALSO TELL ME WHERE YOU ARE IN YOUR FAMILY IN TERMS OF BIRTH ORDER. That means, oldest, middle, youngest or only.  I know a lot of you have step siblings, cousins etc. so think about how your family home was when you were growing up...who was in the house and were you oldest, middle, youngest or only in terms of how you were raised.

See you Wednesday! Have a great weekend!!

Blog #5!!

Hey Scholars!!
What an amazing day yesterday was! I am just so proud of you all. Very professional, best feedback we have ever gotten and it really sounds like some of you may find some jobs, or at least have some great networking  opportunities. Many thanks to Sandy for all her hard work!!

For this week's blog, and this is also part of your interview grade, I need you to go by the Price Center ASAP, pick up THANK YOU CARDS for each interviewer you met with (so, if you did two, get two, if you did three, get three).  If you want to use your own cards, that is also fine.

Please hand write a thank you follow up note to each of your interviewers and bring these to class next week. Make sure you know how to spell their names, and be genuine in your thanks.

This is a really important part of the etiquette behind interviewing. So it is worth double points and I expect that ALL OF YOU will make this happen.

I heard a saying today that I really enjoyed so I am sharing it with you...

A candle loses nothing by sharing its flame with another candle

You are lovely and bright candles, please share your flame.

Hugs,
L
